What is a 'Frappe'?

Translated from French, 'frappe' means 'drink served over ice.' The frappe has transformed from its 19th-century roots to today's go-to refreshment.

The classic recipe includes 2 tablespoons of instant coffee, ice cubes, sugar to taste, and cold water, shaken or mixed to frothy perfection.

Today, frappes are often blended, cutting preparation time and encouraging creativity with different syrups, flavors, and even alcoholic mix-ins.
